RSS, comments recommended for sticky blogs
Web 2.0

Graham Charlton of E-consultancy has outlined some of the ways in which webmasters can make their blogs appealing enough to get first-time visitors to return.
According to the expert, placing a clearly visible RSS button on the blog will help to encourage subscriptions through feed readers, with full RSS feeds recommended to increase the number of people who read posts.
Enabling post-moderated comments is also a good idea, Mr Charlton said, as readers like to be able to interact with blogs and allowing comments to be posted straight away will reduce frustration.
Good usability, compelling content and useful links were also recommended, with Mr Charlton stating: "People will only want to return to your site if you have some content that interests them, so make sure you have something to say that will interest people."
Last week, Mr Charlton said that setting up a corporate blog can be a good way of improving search engine rankings, obtaining customer feedback and improving relationships with investors and journalists.
