Google has launched a video application targeted at businesses as part of its Apps suite.
The Google Video for business program allows users to share video clips within an organisation by uploading them to Apps and inviting others to share them.
According to the search engine, the application can be used for a variety of purposes, including communications, training and visual reports.
Videos can also be embedded in any internal web page, which include those on Google sites.
Dave Girouard, president of enterprise at Google, commented: "With Google Video for business, our customers get the ease of YouTube combined with the simple and secure sharing of Google Apps."
According to Information Week, Google's Apps suite has some ten million active users around the world, although less than ten per cent of these use the paid version of the product.
The Apps range includes spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and databases.
