Businesses should ensure they populate their websites with quality copy to help search engines find and index them better, according to Mark Jackson of Search Engine Watch.

The expert noted that search engines tend to favour websites that position themselves as an authority by producing high quality content that is interesting and useful for web users.

He said that it is not enough to promote a single keyword with just one page of content, calling on website developers to instead create a wide range of pages touching upon all of the most relevant points - and keywords - for users.

"It's no mystery. Google wants to give their users a quality experience when they search. You must strive to deliver a high quality user experience when people visit your website," Mr Jackson commented.

According to Gwyneth Dwyer of MarketingProfs, good website copy strikes an immediate connection with readers and contains persuasive elements such as need-to-know information and answers to questions that site visitors are likely to ask.ADNFCR-1093-ID-18750864-ADNFCR
