Optimisation 'could benefit lawyer websites'
Search Engines

Optimising the website of a law firm could potentially broaden its client base, it has been claimed.
More people could be drawn to a lawyer's website by implementing search engine optimisation (SEO) principles and improving search rankings, Law.com reports.
An example of success in this regard is offered in the case of LexisNexis, which employed SEO staff in 2005.
As a result, Nick Karratt, senior director of traffic and alliances at the firm, claims that between 2006 and 2007, visits to the website increased by 62 per cent.
In this light, Smart Marketing's chief executive officer Brad Fallon said: "SEO is kind of the holy grail of marketing."
SEO tactics can also improve a website's advertising potential, according to Law.com.
The industry's potential is such that Microsoft announced last week that it is to spend millions of dollars in augmenting its search technology.
