'Engage readers with optimised articles'

Articles geared towards search engine optimisation (SEO) can do much to improve a company's search positioning on a website such as Google, according to one writer.
However, businesses must make sure that these articles are also written in such a way to encourage readers to interact with the company more by clicking through to its site, Christina Newberry said.
She advised that one way in which to make sure content is "convincing" is to avoid outsourcing the copywriting to someone for whom English is not a first language.
"You need to build your credibility and make the reader want to learn more to get that critical click-through," Ms Newberry said, warning against the practice of outsourcing to foreign companies for cost reasons.
Meanwhile, Fresh Content recently said that businesses making use of SEO-friendly press releases and articles should ensure they have a proper grasp of the theme of the content, as well as checking that they are using the right keywords.
