Video search site, blinkx, has increased its content with a new deal and introduced contextual adverts with its footage.

Its latest agreement is with Next New Networks, an independent media company, which creates online television networks.

Its newest partner has formal content partnerships with YouTube, iTunes, MySpace TV and AOL Video and has claimed its video programming has been viewed over 250 million times.

"Our aim has always been to make our networks of content available everywhere, across multiple platforms," said Herb Scannell, chairman and chief executive officer, Next New Networks.

Partner, blinkx, has recently sold parts of the search technology it uses to index its video collection.

Suranga Chandratillake, chief executive officer and founder, claimed the platform is a solution "that finally enables media partners to really, truly organise, distribute and monetise their video assets".
