Phorm faces cookie blockade

Security firms could consider the Phorm online ad systems' cookies as adware, and block them, the BBC has learnt.
It revealed some companies are waiting until Phorm's release and others declared computer users could easily block the software.
Stefan Lundstrom, an anti-spyware researcher at F-Secure, said he will wait until it goes live. He told the BBC: "Phorm have hinted that most ISP's will choose an opt-out solution based on a cookie."
"We have expressed our concern that's not informed consent and most likely will meet our detection criteria."
If security companies block Phorm's cookie it will reduce the value of the system to BT, Virgin Media and Talk Talk - all three hope to use it to target advertising to their internet subscribers.
BT has been heavily criticised for running a trial of the software without users' consent.
