Pal stops browsers

Online payment company, PayPal, will act against older browsers and block them from accessing its banking tools.
It revealed that some internet users have ten-year-old browsers and signalled it intends to first warn them and then block their access altogether.
"In our view letting users view the PayPal site on [an unsafe] browser is equal to a car manufacturer allowing drivers to buy one of their vehicles without seatbelts," it said in a white paper.
The company is supporting the Extended Validisation SSL (EVSSL) certificate, which confirms sites are safe by illuminating the address bar.
Older versions of Internet Explorer and Safari do not offer EVSSL, although Firefox does.
PayPal has suffered its share of scams –previously sellers were approached with fake emails, which showed a payment had been made and they then sent items to rogue buyers.
More often, phishing scams direct internet users to imitation websites and ask for their login details.
