Business worried about SNS security

Companies are increasingly worried about what is being said about them on social networking sites, new security research has revealed.
The 2008 Information Security Breaches Survey, conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP found they are also concerned that workers are posting confidential information to sites like Facebook and Bebo.
It recommended that companies address a 'click mentality' found in workforces, where employees do not consider the implications of their online activities.
Chris Potter, who led the study, said employees held the key to an organisation's information security.
"What companies are realising is that increasing security awareness is only part of the answer," he said. "The critical issue is changing the behaviour of their people."
The survey also found workers were increasingly targeted by socially engineered attacks, where outsiders tried to find out information about their employers.
Some employers have moved to restrict or even ban access to social networking sites during work hours, as it is believed to reduce profitability.
