YouTube accounted for one-third of the 9.8 billion videos viewed online in the US during January according to new figures.
Data released by comScore's Video Metrix service revealed that the site, which is owned by Google, dominates the visual market on the web.
In total January saw a slight dip form December's figure down from 10.1 billion in a record-breaking December.
As a collective, Google sites were the clear winner, as nearly 3.4 billion videos were seen – or more than a third of the market share.
YouTube.com accounted for more than 96 per cent of Google's video figures.
Second on the list was Fox Interactive Media, which pulled in 584 million (six per cent).
