The first online digital hymn book has been launched which allows the faithful to download its tunes, the Times has reported.
Mission Praise has sold two million copies since 1984 and has been uploaded by publisher HarperCollins, which hopes the digital version will prove as popular.
Ian Metcalfe, editorial director for Collins Bibles said: "Mission Praise was the first hymnbook to combine traditional hymns with newer worship songs."
He told the Times that demand was there for an online version as "there are thousands of churches out there using it in its printed form".
Kindle, a new digital book from Amazon, has promised to change reading habits by allowing owners to download entire books.
It will also connect to the internet so readers can use online dictionaries and retrieve digital files they have emailed to themselves.
