Moof, Moof! Workers unite

Moof (Mobile out of Office) is a new interactive website which has been launched to encourage people to debate mobile working practices.
Designed by Microsoft and The Work Foundation, the half-blog, half-web page has space for contributors to share their opinions about working away from home, or 'Moofing it'.
Research conducted by the companies found that only 11 per cent of British workers find their office a "creative environment", whilst a third have labelled their workplace "uninspiring".
Mobile technology has enabled more workers to clock in from home and James McCarthy, mobile working expert at Microsoft, said the office dynamic was changing.
"Use office time for face-to-face meetings and other interpersonal activities saving the reports, presentations and other more cerebral stuff for a location better suited to total concentration," he advised.
Improved Wi-Fi access and cheaper equipment allow users to get online easier. One person posting on the blog was keen to promote mobile working.
"Flexible working policies and flexible working tools don’t just give a more productive employee, it also boosts employee satisfaction and helps to reduce stress that could result from the worry of trying to complete these tasks," they claimed.
