Google paid for David Cameron's flights to the US according to his entry in the Commons Register of Members' Interests, the Observer has reported.
The leader of the Conservative party addressed the annual Google Zeitgeist conference last month and thanked the search engine for helping people share information.
A Tory spokesperson was quoted by the paper saying: "It is perfectly normal and acceptable to be reimbursed travel costs when invited to speak at conferences abroad."
When Mr Cameron spoke at the company's Zeitgeist conference in California he told delegates how internet search engines and new technologies could lead to a "post-bureaucratic era".
There are concerns about how much personal data will be kept by the search engine as it continues to create more powerful search and advertising solutions.
The Common's register was established to record the gifts, donations and extra income that politicians accumulate so there can be no suspicion that they are unduly influenced by outside pressures.
