The UK's first social online shopping site for women has launched an M&S meets Facebook Web 2.0 social shopping beta site with support from Britain's three top retailer groups.

OSOYOU.com claims that it is the first site to combine two of women's favourite pastimes - shopping and socialising - by providing a "social networking site dedicated to the art of shopping".

The new online shopping website allows cyber shoppers to browse their favourite stores in a virtual high street.

Retailers Marks & Spencer, the Arcadia Group (Dorothy Perkins, Evans) and Mosaic (Oasis, Warehouse, Principles) are all confirmed partners.

Dawn Bebe, OSOYOU.com managing director, said: "The number of women using social networking sites speaks for itself - women love to share tips and keep in touch with friends online - and we all know they love to shop.
